The 2011 IPEBLA conference will be held in May 2011. The National Steering Committee has determined the criteria that need to be met in order for the PLA to sponsor any PLA member to the IPEBLA conference. These are attached for reference. This e-mail is being sent to all Members, but only FULL MEMBERS are eligible for sponsorship and only FULL MEMBERS may nominate and second. Associate Members with three completed years of Membership automatically become Full Members.

Please note that Members whose membership fees are unpaid are automatically suspended and may not be nominated, nor make, nor second nominations.

Full Members are invited to nominate fellow Full Members to be considered for sponsored attendance at the conference. Nominations, together with a brief motivation, must be submitted by post, fax or e-mail to arrive no later than 4.00 pm on Friday 8th April 2011. All nominations received will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt.

All nominations submissions will then be considered by the NSC which will then make a decision as to which delegate(s), if any, will be sponsored to attend the IPEBLA 2011 conference.

IPEBLA’s 13th International Conference in Berlin, Germany, May 22- 25, 2011 will be a working conference, giving common and civil law lawyers from different countries the opportunity to discuss current domestic and international issues affecting their practice and pension, executive compensation and related employee benefits fields. Attendees must be lawyers and members of IPEBLA. In the past attendees have been lawyers in private practice, in-house counsel, government lawyers and lawyers in teaching or research at university. This conference provides unique networking opportunities for lawyers practicing or interested in this area of the law.

During the three days of the IPEBLA International Conference there will be plenary sessions and related workshops. These sessions and workshops will focus on topics of regional and worldwide interests and are designed to encourage delegate participation.
