PENSION LAWYERS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN
The 2022 Pension Lawyers Association Annual Conference will be held on Monday, 9th May and Tuesday, 10th May 2022
Online conference
Our 26th Annual Conference will be an online conference and we look forward to connecting with you, whether this is your 26th time or your first time! A virtual conference format provides us with greater opportunities to provide you with a wide range of pension law topics in plenary and breakaway sessions.
Content
Knowledgeable speakers will provide you with expert legal and practical analysis and discussion on topical legal issues affecting the financial services and retirement funds industry. As always, much thought is going into showcasing superb content which is thought-provoking and challenging, which offers high quality analysis, with a view to practical application.
Some highlights we can share from the Conference programme include:
- Keynote address from the FSCA Commissioner, Unathi Kamlana
- Andrew Godwin (Melbourne Law School) and Andrew Schmulow (University of Wollongong, Australia) who will discuss the Twin Peaks regulatory architecture in Australia and abroad
- Recent developments on sustainable investing, speakers to include Fiona Stewart from the World Bank
- The multiple pots required to give effect to the two-pot system
- Noteworthy South African case law developments – court cases as well as Adjudicator and Tribunal decisions
